Frequently Asked Questions and Technical Specifications
Use at a fixed location:
Testing and individual hire of systems at our fixed location take place exclusively at the Drivezone simulator centre in BTC Ljubljana. All information regarding packages, availability and booking slots at this location can be found directly on the official website www.drivezone.si. The technical specifications below apply exclusively to the mobile installation of systems at your location (on-site).
What technical and spatial conditions must we provide for on-site installation?
For the successful implementation and safe operation of the SIM83-MS06 simulation system at your site, the following standards must be met:
- Space: A level, covered area (enclosed on at least three sides) with a hard surface measuring at least 4×4 metres. During the winter months, the area must be heated.
- Electrical infrastructure: 1x electrical socket in the immediate vicinity of the installation (the system’s maximum power does not exceed 3000 W). For optimal network stability, we recommend providing 2 sockets from two different phases.
- Internal access: The access route to the final installation site must be at least 130 cm wide, completely smooth, and free of steps, thresholds or kerbs. The unit weighs 300 kg and is moved on specialised wheels.
- External access and logistics: Unobstructed access to the site for a passenger vehicle with a trailer with the following specifications: height 2.4 m and length 9.5 m (towing vehicle 5 m, trailer 4.5 m). A suitable parking space must be provided in the immediate vicinity of the unloading point.
What should we do if we cannot provide a covered area at the event location?
If you do not have a covered area available on site in advance, we offer the hire of our specialised professional marquee, measuring 4×4 metres, as an additional service. The marquee provides complete technical and atmospheric protection for the high-tech system against external influences throughout the entire project.
What is the business process from confirmation to actual implementation on site?
Once we have agreed on an available date and the technical details, we will issue you with a formal quotation. Once payment has been made via bank transfer (for companies less than one year old), or upon written confirmation of the offer, the date is finalised, and you will receive a confirmation protocol and a logistics plan for the team’s arrival. Our technical team will arrive at the venue in advance to ensure the smooth installation, calibration and commissioning of the system before your event begins.
Do event participants need prior technical knowledge?
No, prior experience is not required. The systems are software-adaptable, meaning that we can fully tailor the level of difficulty and electronic assistance to the profile of each individual participant. Each short trial includes introductory instructions from our assistant, who ensures a safe and smooth experience for all guests.
How do the simulation systems manage potential motion sickness?
Discomfort is extremely rare with our devices. The SIM83-MS06 technology is based on state-of-the-art multi-axis mechanical platforms, which ensure perfect, millisecond-level synchronisation between the visual display on the screens and the physical forces acting on the body, making it easier for the brain to process. If the user nevertheless experiences any discrepancies, the operator on site can immediately reduce the intensity of the platform’s operation.
What virtual locations and industrial scenarios are available?
The range of software environments is fully customisable to suit your event. We can integrate millimetre-accurate laser-scanned versions of world-class race tracks (Formula 1, GT series), dedicated test environments and test tracks for testing the dynamics of heavy goods vehicles, as well as specialised logistics scenarios for simulating the safe operation of industrial forklifts.
