The first test of the forklift simulator prototype by SIM 83 has been completed. This marks an exciting milestone in our product development, bringing us one step closer to offering a realistic forklift training simulator designed for professional driver education and safety improvement.
The prototype features:
- Custom-made control levers for fork movement (forward–backwards, up–down, left–right)
- Drive direction selector for realistic motion switching
- Authentic steering wheel with knob, identical to real forklift controls
For the simulation environment, we used Expansim, a versatile and highly realistic simulator platform that our customers can also acquire through us. Expansim enables detailed training scenarios such as:
- Loading and unloading pallets
- Navigating warehouse aisles
- Practising safety procedures
With this setup, companies can reduce training costs, improve workplace safety, and ensure new forklift operators gain practical experience in a completely safe environment.
The first test proved that the simulator delivers exceptional precision and a true-to-life driving experience. Over the coming months, we will continue fine-tuning the system and adding new features that will make virtual forklift training even more immersive.
