The first test of the prototype of the forklift simulator at SIM 83 has been successfully completed. It is a completely new development step in our range of simulators, as the device is designed specifically for realistic training of forklift operators.
The simulator includes:
- custom made controls for forward-backward, up-down and left-right fork movement,
- drive direction selector, which enables a realistic change of direction,
- authentic steering wheel with bunk as used by real forklifts.
For the simulation environment, we used eXpanSIM, which is represented by our company. It is a software solution that enables realistic work scenarios such as:
- loading pallets,
- driving through storage routes,
- safety exercises at work.
With our simulator, companies will be able to reduce training costs, improve employee safety and ensure that new forklift drivers gain experience in a completely safe environment.
The first test showed that the simulator provides exceptional accuracy and a realistic driving feeling. In the coming months, we will continue to develop and add new functionalities that will bring the virtual experience even closer to real work.
